Instead of Jean Grey or Rachel Summers, I decided to create my own Phoenix, who is Evelyn Fires, CEO of Fires Industries. If Marvel is intending to recreate the X-Men, I'll be delighted to put my version of Phoenix into comic books as well as video games.
Ever since she discovered she was a mutant, Evelyn Fires had the power to generate fire and fly, even creating a force filed in the shape of a bird. Fires wanted to find a cure for mutation, but due to her lack of success, the Board attempt to bankrupt her company. Outraged and vengeful, Fires took on the persona of Phoenix and assaulted the Board members before she loses the contract to Fires Industries. And the X-Men are the only ones who can stand in her way.
I gave Phoenix a red costume, to resemble that of Dark Phoenix from the comic books. I even gave her a mask so that the Board wouldn't discover her true identity. Also, instead of being a cosmic entity, the Phoenix is a mutant.
