Wraith is a new adversary for Spider-Man, or maybe a memorable character who was long dead. She is actually Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker's late girlfriend, brought back to life by Venom and Electro. After Gwen was resurrected, she vows revenge on Spider-Man for his failure to save her from the Green Goblin.
I wanted to introduce Wraith into the comic books so she can blame Spider-Man for not being able to save her from her death. I gave her a similar appearance to Venom, except without the grotesque face and I used red instead of white for her symbiote costume.
